On poetry:

I use poetry to figure out the world: because poetry behaves as an organic substance; it mirrors life. There is nothing black-and-white or direct about how life unfolds. It's rich and complex, and you project your own meaning onto it - and that's exactly the same way poetry works. You can sculpt life through words in that way.

Since age 20 I have performed at venues and on stages such as Festival Hongerige Wolf, Concordia: Theater on Tour, Granate Festival, De Lieveling, Living Village Festival, Rough Night Press, Notes of a Dirty Old Man, Subculture Cabaret, and Landjuweel. My poetry has also found its way into private dinner parties and philosophy events around commissioned themes. In 2023, I had the honor of serving on the jury for the second edition of the Netherlands Poetry Film Festival.

Thanks to a host of talented collaborators, my words have taken multidisciplinary forms: choir pieces, films, street calligraphy, expanded translations, birth cards, shows, and publications. And still the journey continues.
